~~Looking around my home, I notice that I have collected many precious objects that have little functional value.  I have purposely placed them in my environment just because I enjoy viewing them at my leisure.  Some of them, like old bottles, were created before my birth and will undoubtedly outlive me - that is if Sammy doesn't knock them out of the window.  Others, like a vase a flowers, last only a week or less.  I've begun noticing objects in other environments which are purposely placed for aesthetic reasons only.  This need to look at precious objects must afflict others as well as me.
